MS Office 365

Students can download and install Microsoft Office 365 from this page provided that they have paid the annual software fee and submitted a signed Student Responsible Use Policy form upon joining WIS.

Note: Before you uninstall an earlier version of MS Office, you may want to find the product key and installation media that came with it in case you would like to reinstall it at a later point.


Uninstalling MS Office 2010, MS Office 2013, Office 365 2013 from PC:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.

  2. Click Programs > Programs and Features.

  3. Right-click the Office application you want to remove, and then click Uninstall.

  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

  5. Restart your computer.


Uninstalling MS Office 2011 from Mac:

  1. Click Go > Applications, and drag the Microsoft Office 2011 folder to Trash.

  2. Restart your computer.

Guide to Activating Office 365

Note: The downloadable file is at least 1GB in size and may take some time to download depending on the speed of your internet connection. Make sure your computer is connected to a stable wifi connection.

Install MS Office 365 for Windows (Instructions for Mac OS below)

1. After downloading the correct version of Microsoft Office 365, Run the installer in Windows.

The Office installation will be started

2. Click the "Accept" button to accept the Microsoft Office License Agreement

3. Click the "All done!" button to complete the installation

Install MS Office 365 2016 for Mac

1. After downloading the correct version of Microsoft Office 365, run the .dmg/.pkg on your computer. Go to Finder, go to Downloads and double-click the .dmg/.pkg .

2. On the first installation screen, select Continue to begin the installation process.

3. Review the software license agreement, and then click Continue.

4. Select Agree to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.

5. Review the disk space requirements, and then click Install.

6. Enter your Mac login password, if prompted, and then click Install Software. (This is the password that you use to log in to your Mac.)

7. The software begins to install. Click Close when the installation is finished.
