Wifi Access for Mobile Devices

Wifi is available to all students of West Island School. Upon entry to WIS, students are provided with a username and password that can be used to log in to the wifi network. Once connected, the student can use resources like network printing, wisdom, google apps etc.

How to Connect to the Wifi using your mobile device

To access the wifi network follow the steps below:

Android:

1. Go to settings, Connections, Wi-Fi and select wis-student from the list of wifi networks:

2. Connect to wis-student using the following settings below:

EAP method: PEAP
Identity: Wisdom username
Password: default password (date of birth YYMMDD)
Click Connect

1. Go to settings, Wi-Fi and select wis-student from the list of wifi networks:

2. Connect to the wis-student wifi network using your wisdom username and default password (date of birth YYMMDD).

3. Accept the security certificate by selecting Trust

Changing your wifi and printing password

After connecting to the wifi, you can change your wifi password as follows:

1. Open a browser and go to: changepw.wis.edu.hk

2. On the username box, key in: student\wisdom username

3. Key in your current password

4. Key in a new password

5. Confirm the new password and click submit

6. Disconnect from the wifi, navigate to the wifi network list. Right-click on "wis-student" and click Forget

7. Key in your wisdom username and new password

Note: Changing the wifi password will also change your print release code. You can use "Sign in with Google" on the PaperCut Web Interface to manage your account online.
