Sudden Cardiac Death is the number one cause of death of student athletes during sports participation. One in 100 students screened have a heart abnormality or cause for concern which could lead to Sudden Cardiac Death.
During February, Heart health awareness month, Salesianum School is sponsoring a community event to prevent Cardiac Trauma in our youth. The Heart in the Game organization is holding their 5th FREE EKG screening on February 21st from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This opportunity is available to ALL students who attend school in Delaware aged 10-19.
