MathCounts is a national non-profit organization that promotes the importance of math at the pivotal middle school age. At WAAS, we have an after school club open to all middle schoolers from the first of October through mid-November from 2:30-3:30. A team of fifteen from that group will be chosen to compete. Our team will compete in a private school practice competition in January and in a regional competition held in mid-February. There will be a state competition in mid-March at NCSSM for individual competitors who qualify.
