Contest Website for the January Competition
(No calculator permitted.)
The AMC 8 Math Contest is a middle school math competition that will be held at WAAS during math class on January 28th. Students from grades 6th-8th take the same 25 multiple-choice test in a forty minute time period. All middle schoolers will participate and will benefit from the experience; however, there is no pressure as it will not affect their math grade. Since the test does not allow the use of a calculator, it really challenges students with their problem-solving skills. This website link has all previous years' questions and solutions to help students prepare.
In 2026, WAAS earned the School Certificate of Honor. Congrats to 2026 AMC winners!
