About Me

Wilmington is where I first called my home in 2005. I have two children: 12 and 9 years old. My hobbies include disc golf, board games, card games, and guitar.  I am an avid pickleball player and compete at the 5.0 level in tournaments.  I also serve as a pickleball instructor at the House of Pickleball in Leland.

I started teaching at WAAS in the fall of 2013.  I serve  as the MathCounts coach and completed my AIG coursework from UNCW in the Spring of 2016.  I renewed my National Board Certification in 2020.

I grew up in the beautiful state of West Virginia.  I graduated from Fairmont State University in 2004.  I played collegiate tennis for three years.  I earned the Easton K. Feaster award my senior year for having the highest G.P.A. for a male collegiate athlete.

After college I moved to Frederick, Maryland.  I taught eighth grade Pre-algebra and Geometry.  I was a little too close to the D.C. traffic  and decided to move to Wilmington to be closer to the beach and enjoy the nicer weather.  I taught math and science to sixth to eighth grade students at Myrtle Grove Middle School for seven years and also received my National Board certification. I was the head baseball coach for three years and the head basketball coach for six years.  I taught Algebra at North Brunswick High School in 2012-2013.
