Thanks to Parker's step brother, Alec, who came in to be our Mystery Reader.  He read, Pirates Wear Underpants by Claire Freedman.  Parker was so surprised to see Alec in our room, and Alec was so happy to be back in his favorite 2nd grade classroom!

We used little cubes and little paperclips to measure items around our classroom.  So fun learning new ways to measure!

We've had a super fun week getting ready for Winter Break.  We played Farkle (a dice game) with our 4th grade buddies, did some fun STEAM activities in the Learning Commons, participated in an All School Assembly and had a super fun class party!  Woo hoo!

Happy Halloween!

We've had such a fun few weeks celebrating Halloween!  From creating book characters out of pumpkins, to writing and sharing our own spooky stories, to Halloween math centers around the room, and let's not forget a Halloween parade and awesome class party!  Best Day Ever, despite the snow!!!  Thanks to all of the parents who helped to make it such a great few weeks and day!
