DPU re Power Aggregation

Post date: Feb 04, 2021 1:31:8 PM

Back in the summer, we approved amendments to the regional Berkshire Power Aggregation agreement. That has been slowly working through regulatory process with DPU finally reaching the point to hold their hearing on approving for all of the member communities. Our agent for this, Colonial Power, has been navigating through the process and will handle for us. Colonial has handled the newspaper posting and we've covered the remaining required postings.

Note from them below and official notices attached.

Hi Jason –

The Department of Public Utilities has issued the attached Notice of Filing and Public Hearing and Order of Notice in the Town’s docket. This is the information for the Town of Williamstown’s public hearing. It’s scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:30 PM and will be held virtually. There will be a minimum of 16 public hearings taking place that afternoon between 2:30-5 PM (likely only 10-15 minutes for each municipality). The Town’s attendance is welcomed but certainly not required. Colonial will join (with our attorney) to represent the Town and take any action necessary.
