Debbie--

Greetings again from the Southworth Street neighborhood. A group of us are starting planning for our annual Block Party for Labor Day (Monday, September 2) and hoping to gain approvals from the selectmen and police department once again.

Here are the key details:

    • We're planning the event from 5-7 p.m., so having the street closed a little before and after that for set up/clean up would be great -- say, 4:00-7:30 p.m.?

    • The area we'd ask to have closed is Southworth between School and Moorland Streets as we did last year.

    • The rain date for the event would be the evening of Sunday, September 8, same times as above.

    • My wife, Anna, and I live at 129 Southworth Street and can be listed as the primary contacts. My cell phone is xxx-xxx-4858.

I will again speak with Bobbi Senecal at Williams to confirm confirm that no college staff are moving into apartments in the areas we're looking at closing off on Sept. 2. I'll also work with her to alert the right staff at Williams about our plans. We again plan to invite all college faculty/staff living in the apartments on/near Southworth.

With that, are we ok to proceed with move ahead with getting approvals? Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Mark
