The subscription service is offered free of charge to all mayors, town managers and administrators, selectmen, and councillors and aldermen in MMA member communities, as well as one additional employee in each chief municipal official’s office as designated by the chief municipal officer.

To sign up for access, MMA members can visit the State House News Service. Click on the More tab at the top and select MMA New User Sign Up. If you have difficulty signing up, contact Meredith Gabrilska at mgabrilska@mma.org at the MMA.

Chief municipal officers are welcome to send the name, title and email address of their additional designee to receive State House News Service access to Meredith.

State House News covers state and local government and the judiciary, provides daily schedules and gavel-to-gavel coverage of House and Senate sessions, and reports from press conferences. Its coverage stands out because the service strives to be as objective as possible.

The website is updated constantly as news comes in. The service also posts and archives every press release that is sent to the Beacon Hill press corps. Founded in 1894, State House News is highly regarded by journalists, lobbyists, government officials, and civic and business leaders.
