BUILDING

Ryan and Tim are continuing with liquor license holder inspections and are now conducting re inspections of some establishments. The CDE program dormitory is near completion and expected to wrap up next week. Blasting has begun at the Bronfman Hall replacement project and will continue throughout the remainder of the year.

HEALTH

The Massachusetts Dept of Public Health has released the newly promulgated Minimum Standards for Food Establishments. The Health Inspector has been notifying (and sending the regulation) to all food establishments via email. Inspections based on the new regulations will begin once the State has approved Williamstown's inspection report.

Title 5 Inspections for properties being placed for sale are continuing. Upgrades to systems that fail are ongoing.

Chapter 2 Inspection have been slow. Reminder: every rental unit in Williamstown has to have undergone a rental unit inspection not more than 12 months prior to the current tenancy.

Weights and gas pumps have been inspected for accuracy. The weights and volume testing equipment has be delivered to the State metrology Lab in Needham for its five year re-certification.

LAND USE

Andrew met with GEM Environmental on site at 330 Cole Ave recently. They are preparing a bid to demolish and abate the boiler room on site. This will allow the Town and Berkshire Housing to investigate other issues surrounding the building. The project will be paid for with EPA funding.

The Planning Board will continue its discussion on housing issues Tuesday the 13th. They hope to come close to finalizing new rules for Accessory Dwelling Units.

Zoning Board meets Thursday the 15th to review the Cole Avenue Habitat for Humanity project.
