Subject: MassDOT Complete Streets Grant

Honorable Senator Hinds and Honorable Representative Barrett –

I’m sending along good news regarding a Complete Streets program grant in your district. The town of Williamstown has been awarded a grant of $167,847. During this round MassDOT received 41 applications of which 22 were funded totaling $6.4M. We will be planning an awards ceremony for a later date and we’ll be in touch soon with more details. Congratulations !

Rick Colón

Govt. & Public Affairs Director

This will fund extension of South Street sidewalk and signal beacons for 6 Main Street crossings. The attached spreadsheet shows that they did not fully fund all of our requested projects.
