4-3 Genius Hour

This is kind of like a "genius hour" project but with global restriction and my own classroom policies. Genius hour is an hour that was invented by google where their staff was allowed to work on their own passion projects. In our global studies classroom you will pick a global topic based on your own passions. It can be global fashion design, global economic trends, global politics, human rights violations, women rights, sanitation problems in India, education for children (Malali) children trafficking, a particular interest in a certain country like North Korea or Russia or any other country that may catch your interest, world wide education systems, it can be all the places you want to travel to and you plan the trip. It has to be a topic based on your own unique talents that has its founding in anywhere but the United States. We are in a global studies classroom. The project has to be written in your google documents and when it is finished shared on our google classroom.

Standards for the project:

1. Topic:

2. Why your topic interested you.

3. Three questions you are answering about your topic:

4. An APA list of the research you did for the genius hour project. You need at least four sources. Use the citation machine to help format your work cited list correctly.

5. Your Plan for the project with deadlines. You might want to do this in an inserted table in your word document. I would recommend setting up like this:

Step to project/description/due date

Your entire project is due June 11 so work backward when designing your project plan.

6. A project it can take any form you want an online journal, a webpage through google, a blog post, a powerpoint etc. that can be shared with our class online.

7. A journal entry describing what you think your grade should be on this project and why.
