Unit 3 - Bigger Books, Amping Up Reading Power:
rereading with voices, scooping words fluently, applying dialogue tags, using understanding/ comprehension to read even more fluently, noticing literary language: comparisons, playing with words, holding onto understanding in longer books, setting/budgeting and reaching buddy/club reading goals
Unit 4 - Series Book Clubs:
finding and using text evidence to support discussion ideas/opinions around characters, problems, similarities, actions, relationships, character knowledge to predict, craft moves to “paint a picture with their words”, precise words, literary language, series patterns, reading the punctuation to bring stories to life with expression, discussing and wondering why did the author start/end the story that way… and more!
