- In 2016-17, the state of Nebraska began requiring all Juniors to take the ACT.
- Students scoring proficient or above in understanding complex texts was 43% in 2016-17. This decreased to 34% in 2017-18, which may be attributed to a small class size of 18 students. In 2018-19, a large improvement was achieved with 61% of students proficient or above. (see Table 1.7)
- Overall, WHPS students achieved an average composite score higher than the state average in all three years since the Juniors have been required to test.
