Working with the sidebar

There are additional options/features that you can put on your site's sidebar. E.g. Additional Navigational boxes, your own text, a count down gadget, the ones that I use most often are Navigation and a Text Box.

Here's an example of the commonly used sidebar features.

To insert one of these features on your side bar

1. More
2. Edit Layout
3. Click on the + symbol on the top of the sidebar header

1. Choose your side bar item

1. Click Add
2. After you add an item it will show up on the left hand side. As you run your mouse over the newly added item, you will see an X to delete it. By clicking somewhere within the element, you will see a a new option to edit it.

When selecting the text box navigation you will see a new window where you can name your text box and put images, text, links, etc. Note that if you put any images in this text box, they cannot be wider than your side bar, otherwise it will get cut off. Which in most cases, the side bar width is usually 100px or 150px.

1. On the countdown, choose an event and a date and hit OK.

1. If inserting another navigation, it works just like the original navigation.
2. When done hit Close in the upper right hand corner to indicate that you are done editing the sidebar.
