The weather gadgets within the Google Sites Gadget Gallery are a good start to inserting a weather gadget, but you cannot set the location and have it "stick". Wunderground has a set of gadgets that allow you to personalize it to your location and has some additional features as well. The steps below will show you how to embed a weather gadget.
1. Open the page where you want to place your weather gadget and click on edit.
2 Put your cursor where you want the weather gadget.
3. Open a new tab or window and navigate to the Weather Underground gadget page via this URL: http://www.wunderground.com/stickers/
4. Input your location
5. Indicate your preferences in steps 2 and 3
6. Select your style- in this case, Shiny, Simple or Two-Day
7. When you click on your choice a new "window" shows up with the code that you need to copy to put on your site. Put your cursor in the box below the words "Copy the following lines of HTML:" All of it will turn blue and then you can copy the code.
8. Navigate back to your site (you should still be in the edit mode) and click on the words HTML in the formatting tool bar to edit the HTML source
9. A window will appear that looks like this. This window contains the code related to that content in that FRAME of your page.
10. Locate where you would like your gadget to appear. In my example, I want it to appear after the words, "Click to view my Twitter page"
11. Paste the code that you have copied from Weather Underground and click on update.
12. After hitting update, your gadget will appear on your page.
13. Make sure and hit Save in the upper right hand corner to finish editing your page.
