These are not new topics.

These are skills you must be proficient in. You should expect to need these skills on any assessment.

This one should be easy and everyone should do it. To be honest, if you can memorize and use the formula it gives, you can do it.

You do not need to know this for any assessment in AB.

If you are taking BC you need this and will be expected to be proficient. So you may as well learn it know when you can earn some extra points for the effort.

Shells (also known as Cylinders) is another method to find the volume of a solid created by rotating a region around a horizontal or vertical line. If you understand the washer method and integrating with respect to y, then you should be able to do this one.

You do not need to know this for any assessment in AB or BC. All volume problems you will see on assessments can be solved using cross-sections or washers. But you are allowed to use this method and this method might make some problems easier; that is why we have the method.
