Cathedral School Music at a Glance

• Pk through 5th: General Music twice per week

• Middle School: Guitar elective

After-school offerings

• Cathedral Choristers–Mondays and Thursdays until 3:40.

• Beginning Strings–Wednesdays after school, once a week “pull-out” lesson during recess

• Continuing Strings–Tuesdays and Fridays after school until 3:40

Strings students will need to rent a violin, viola or cello. I highly recommend Triangle Strings or Azure Violins. DO NOT buy from Amazon! Please contact me if the cost of rental is prohibitive for your family, and I'll try to source an instrument.

Performances:

• There is a school-wide Christmas Concert on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the Parish Center at 6:30 pm. Please mark your calendars!

• pK through 2nd will perform at a concert on Thursday, May 14, 2026

• Strings will perform at a spring concert on Tuesday, May 19, 2025

• Choristers sing once a month at the 10:30 AM mass at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. Here is the full calendar.
