My name is Jochen Wachter. I am teaching German and Latin at Sanderson High. I was born and raised in Germany, where I attended school and university (my degree is in German and History from the University of Marburg, Germany). I moved to the Raleigh area in 1997 and am a teacher at SHS since.

My main hobby is soccer: playing, watching, coaching, discussing. I have been a soccer coach at SHS off and on for the past 20 years. Currently, I am coaching the girl's JV soccer team in the spring. My favorite club is Eintracht Frankfurt, the Club closest to my hometown HOMBERG in the state of Hessen.
