Coordinator and 12th Grade Cohort Advisor: Megan Marshall MarshMeg@wcps.k12.md.us

English Teacher, South Hagerstown High School

Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Bachelors of Science in English Education

Megan Marshall is a tenth year English teacher who loves the challenge that teaching brings. One of her favorite things about teaching English is that the curriculum opens up many doors for personal growth for both the students and the teacher. The English curriculum calls for reading, writing, and discussing, and those three components allow for students to explore worlds with which they are unfamiliar, embrace a medium that is both cathartic and challenging, and learn the appropriate ways to voice opinions and ideas in an academic setting. In addition to her ALA duties, Ms. Marshall is the advisor for National Honor Society and the English Department Chair.
