Application Requirements and Application

Admission to the Academic Leadership Academy is through an application and is based on previous academic performance, attendance and leadership potential.


--Applications must be obtained from ALA Advisors

--Three (3) letters of recommendation are required: two (2) from teachers, one (1) from a guidance counselor

--Submission of a Leadership Essay


**Admission to the ALA program is dependent upon the review of the applicant’s submission by the ALA Advisors**

Application Due Date: 1/31/19

**Applications MUST be received by 1/31. Any received after will not be considered.** 

No applications will be taken or considered once the school year has begun. 

**Upon accepting the invitation to join the SHHS ALA program, students will be asked to participate in a summer leadership camp in June at South Hagerstown High School. 

Students will be notified of admission to the program by March 1.
