Some of the main standards incorporated within these units will include analyzing and interpreting data, asking questions and defining problems, and constructing explanations and designing solutions to problems. Student learning will focus on planning and conducting experiments to help them develop more critical thinking skills. They will also practice making claims based on evidence from research and experimentation. Summative assessments will include quizzes, tests, lab performance and analysis, and individual and group projects relating to the performance expectations. Students will also be expected to keep their science notebook current with information and reflections.
