CTE Scholarships & Tuition Awards

Overview

If you were given an over 50 percent chance of obtaining about $1,700 in tuition awards this year and maybe even more next year, would you spend four hours writing a personal portfolio to get the $1,700?

That's the reality of students applying for the over 110 CTE scholarships and tuition awards.

Qualifications

This is open to Career and Technical Education (CTE) graduating senior students who are planning to obtain CTE training after high school where that training will result in one of the following:

    1. an associate's degree or less in an CTE area, OR
    2. a bachelor's degree for teaching in one of the CTE areas.

Candidates must be a legal US resident as well as have senior status and graduate from a Utah-sponsored, public, secondary school before September 15, 2008. *Most colleges and universities also require a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Immediate employment after completing training programs is a requirement for all potential award recipients. It must be clearly stated in the student's narrative as to what employment the student intends to seek and how the student plans to obtain that employment once the training is completed.
