Course Registration

Pre-registration for the new school year begins in early December and is usually completed by March. Counselors meet with each student individually to review their requirements and make sure they are meeting their "required" graduation requirements.

Recommended Required Courses By Grade

7th and 8th Grade students will be placed in all the required courses they need.

9th Grade

(1.00) Language Arts 9

(1.00) Secondary Mathematics 1 or 2 (Math placement by mastery levels)

(1.00) Earth Science (Or Biology by Math Prerequisite)

(0.50) Geography for Life

(0.50) Participation Skills & Technique (OR Participation in Athletics)

(0.50) Business Office Specialist

10th Grade

(1.00) Language Arts 10

(1.00) Secondary Mathematics 2 or 3 (Math placement by mastery levels)

(1.00) Biology Science (Or Chemistry by Math Prerequisite)

(0.50) World Civilizations

(0.50) Fitness For Life

(0.50) Health

11th Grade

(1.00) Language Arts 11, Language Arts 11 Honors (College Prep Writing), Language Arts 12, or CE ENGL 1010

(1.00) Secondary Mathematics 3 or Higher (Parents may opt students out of Secondary III for Mathematics of Personal Finance)

(1.00) 3rd Science (If Still Needed)

(1.00) U.S. History II

12th Grade

(1.00) Language Arts 11 Honors, Language Arts 12, CE ENGL 1010, or CE ENGL 2010

(0.50) U.S. Government & Citizenship (Must Pass Civics Test as part of the class)

In addition to the Required Courses listed above, students will need to complete the following Required Courses ANYTIME in grades 9 - 12.
