3.  Objects are sold to the highest bidder. If there is only one bid, the sales price will be the minimum bid in the list. If there are more bids, the highest bid will be adjusted to 10% above the next highest. 4.  The Society’s commission will be 10% of the sales price.

5.  Postage and handling will be charged to the actual rates. Objects/lots with sales price > NOK 5.000 will be sent in registered letters if other not should be wanted.

6.  Won lots will be invoiced in NOK. Payment by bank transfer, in cash in a registered letter or via PayPal.  Via PayPal, please add 5% for the PayPal fee.  Checks are not accepted.

7.  The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot before and during the auction.

8.  Quality is average unless other mentioned.

Feltpost stationary card printed in Lillehammer and issued during the campaign in Norway 1940 cancelled LILLEHAMMER 8.V.40 sent to Gjøvik.  The sender is a Norwegian POW in Lillehammer. Rare and good quality

Military stationary (M.-skjema 2) cancelled Harstad 20.12.39 sent to Sjøvegan. Sent in return and cancelled Sjøvegan 22.12.39 on reverse.  Quite unusual 

T61; 25ø O.S. on British Active Service Envelope cancelled Oslo 8.9.48 sent to Infanteriregiment 9, Bergen. On front a mark in red “TYSKLANDSKOMMANDOEN”. Probably sent by courier to Oslo from Germany. Unusual cover

Part of a official paper with 4 nice cancellations FELTPOSTKTR Nr. 9 PÅ.I 27.3.40. (rarity 8). The cancellation was used during a military exercise In Bardu / Målselv  and only one day.

NK254: Hålogaland x2 on cover cancelled Stavanger 3.VII.41 sent to Hunan, China. One stamp (30ø?) is missing (possible before reaching the addressee). German censor mark Ab on front from Berlin.  Chinese mark on reverse. 

40 ø Lion on Reg.-cover cancelled Røros 1.8.40 sent to Denmark.  On reverse a German brown neutral censor-label 36 mm (not in Lindewald) and censor-mark Geprüft Deutsche Zensur in red.  Also a Danish censor-mark. Transit Oslo 2.8.40 and arrival-mark Aarhus 4.8.40

NK255, 267: 30ø Redningsselskapet and 14ø lion over-printed V on nice air mail cover cancelled Kristiansand S. 11.10.41 sent to Denmark.  The sender is a Danish OT-worker in camp Møvik.  Brown neutral German censor-label (30 mm) and censor-mark. (Lindewald: DO-5+50). These censor-combination only used in October 1941.

40ø lion on Reg.-cover cancelled Oslo 7.IX.40 sent to Finland.  On front a German censor-mark from Oslo; Geprüft Deutsche Zensur and a Finish censor-mark.  On reverse 2 different arrival-marks from Helsinki.  Nice cover

50ø lion x2 + 5ø ph on cover sent expres air mail to Leipzig, Germany, cancelled Oslo 5.11.40.  On reverse a German censor-label and mark from ABP Berlin and arrival mark Leipzig 10.11.40.  On front a censor-mark C in red from Berlin.

NK 294, 297 etc. 10ø and 30ø Snorre + 20ø overprint V on nice commercial expres cover cancelled Oslo V 17.11.41 sent to Stockholm.  On reverse a German censor-label and -mark from ABP Oslo and arrival mark Stockholm 19.11.41. 

35ø Lion on air mail cover cancelled Trondheim 22.4.44 sent to Kiel. In left side a German censor-label from ABP Berlin.  The cover is sent from a horticulture in Trondheim to a florist in Kiel and on front a handwritten “Annahme verweigert”, probably from the censor.  Unusually cover with a vertical bend and a small opening-tear. Picture from the flower-shop interior on the reverse.

Lot 2 covers sent Reg. from Oslo-Soli.  One to Prag 13.6.40 and one to Germany 3.1.44.  Both covers with censor-labels and -marks from ABP Berlin. 

20ø lion on cover cancelled Skjærhollen 14.7.40 sent to the Norwegian ship M/T Realf II in Karlskrona, Sweden.  Realf II was later in the war interned in Gotenburg (Kvarstad-ship) and a short period in October 1943 used as a learning camp (Helse-leir) for Norwegian refugees who were later enlisted as Norwegian police soldiers in Sweden. German neutral brown censor-label and -mark on reverse.  Unusual cover.

20 ø lion on commercial cover cancelled Trondheim 3.4.41 sent to Gotenburg.  On front a nice German censor-mark in black Ao from ABP Oslo. (Lindewald DO-33). It is the first Ao-mark used by the censorship in Oslo and April 41 is a late period of use.

NK234; 20ø Nansen II on a commercial cover from Noteringsutvalget – Det Norske Postmannslag cancelled Oslo 14.1.41 sent to Sweden.  On reverse a German censor-label and -mark from ABP Oslo (Lindewald DO-4+51)

NK326-29; Landshjelp 1944 on air mail cover cancelled Trondheim 20.12.44 sent to Denmark.  In left side a German censor-label and – mark from ABP Oslo (Lindewald: DO-8+56y). Also chemical censor on both sides.

Lot: Nice cover cancelled FIELD POST OFFICE 786 = Oslo 27.AU.45 sent to commander Oscar W. Thoresen, Royal Norwegian Navy, The British Pacific Fleet. Enclosed 5 air mail covers 1945 with the stamps removed (cut off) sent to the same person with post-address in Australia – all with Norwegian post war censor labels and mark + 1 an Australian inland cover.

British stamp 12p on a Norwegian postcard depicting “Stalheim Hotell” cancelled FIELD POST OFFICE 11 MAR 1980.  Sent to Wales.  The writer is “about 120 miles inside the Arctic Circle”.  British fieldpost used in Norway

USA: 1 c stationary card + 2c cancelled Washington D.C. May 26 1945 sent to Oslo.  On front an American censor mark. The card is written in Norwegian

USA: 1x 2c + 3c (damage) on cover cancelled South Orange DEC 1 1941 addressed to Germany.  In left side a British censor-label PC. 90/1,866 from Bermuda (Handwritten IC). On front an American mark: RETURN / TO SENDER / SERVICE SUSPENDED NEW YORK JUL 28 1942

USA: 5c Flag Austria on special pre-printed envelope “Austria will be free again”.  Cancelled Washington NOV 23 1943 FDC

Germany: 12pf + 1+pf Hitler on air mail cover cancelled Berlin 22.12.43 sent to Hamar.  On front a control-mark Ab in circle 18 mm from ABP Berlin. The mark is not registered in the Landsmann´s catalog.  Unusual

Germany: 6pf Hitler stationary cancelled Zwentendorf 7.III.44 sent to Denmark.  The sender is a Danish worker in the Lager Siedlung.  On font a a mark from the camp: Gemeinschaftslager / Siedlung Zwentendorf.  Also a German censor-mark from ABP Hamburg. Small trace from tape upper left corner.

Cuba: 20c x2 + 5c on air mail cover cancelled Cieco Avila Y Jucaro OCT 29 1941 sent to Norway. On front written Via LATI.  According to the LATI-book by Richard Beith (1993), no mail from Cuba is registered sent by the LATI-rout.  PS: The senders address is Buenos Aires.  On reverse German censor-label and -marks from ABP Frankfurt.  Rare cover

Canal Zone: 10+15+20 c on air mail cover cancelled Christobal AUG 7 1941 sent to Norway.  The sender is on the Norwegian ship S/S Lido.  On reverse a German censor-label and -marks from ABP Frankfurt.  Good cover

Germany: 6pf Hitler on card cancelled Leipzig 26.9.44 sent to Oslo.  The card is written in Norwegian.  On front a censor-mark from ABP Hamburg and on reverse trace of chemical censor. 

Mocambique: 1 E x2 + 1,75E on Reg. cover cancelled Inhambane? 10.5.40 sent to Kristiansund N.  On left side a censor-label from South Africa and on reverse a German censorlabel- and mark from ABP München.  Transit-marks from Lisboa 31. AGO 40.  Unfortunately archive hole in left side and a small tear on lower side

Diverse / Miscellaneous

Norwegian Red Cross letter form sent from Bergen 10.01.43 to England with return reply 3.05. 1943.  British censor marks and marks from the Red Cross in Geneve on both sides.  The letter form with horizontal (as usually) and vertical bend.  The envelope is missing. 

Postcard: unused depicting Odda – Hardanger issued by (C M & S). On reverse side a good mark from MS St. Louis, Hamburg / N.S. Gemeinschaft – Kraft durch Freude.  The MS St. Louis  is well known in war-history; an ocean liner that set sail from Hamburg on May 13, 1939, westbound with 937 refugees from Nazi Germany – 930 Jews and seven non-Jews – on board, hoping to find a safe haven. Only 29 passengers were able to disembark in Havana, Cuba. The rest were then refused entry to the United States and Canada and the ship returned to Europe. 

The Norwegian German Brigade 1949: Nice hand-painted unused X-mas card13 cm x17,5 cm (cover + 4 pages) = 8 pages.  The artist is unknown.  Never seen a card like these before and the paintings are very colorful and beautiful. Paintings on all pages

One stamp (upper right corner) from the flying leaflet “new design for postage stamps” 20 + 20 øre Lofoten 4. Mars 1941 – Bidrag til mulkten.  As usually without gum.  The quality is much better that average. 

15ø Tourist on unaddressed cover cancelled machine Oslo 7.2-45 – NORSK FRONT.  According to the machine cancel- book it is the first day of use for the cancellation

T50, 10ø Solkors on pre-printed cover from “Oslo og Aker krets av det sivile luftvern” cancelled Oslo 29.8.44 sent locally

Window-envelope (no address) cancelled PORTO OSLO BETALT OSLO 31.III.1945.  The same cancellation on reverse.  Pre-printed cover from Oslo Lysverker with NS- slogan: Mot lysere tider

Germany: Lottery ticket “Kriegs Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes” March 1940.  Good quality.  Printed on both sides

NK1093; kr 3,20 with special cancellation 1940/ 9.april/1990 on illustrated “souvenir-cover”  Battle of Narvik – 50th Anniversary.  The cover is signed by Leading Seaman onbord HMS Hardy - who was involved in the attack.  Information sheet inside the cover; it is no 20 of 50

Postcard “Norwegenlied” cancelled Feldpost 17.8.40 sent to Germany.  Special card for the Regiment von Berren. Karl von Beeren was a German officer. During the invasion of Norway in the spring of 1940 he was commander of the 193rd Infantry Regiment in the 69th Infantry Division. He was given command of the 280th Infantry Division April 27 1942, and was stationed in Bergen. He was appointed Major General on February 1, 1943, and Lieutenant General on May 15, 1943. He led the 280th Infantry Division until November 10, 1944, Unusual card.

Finland: Postcard depicting Carl Gustav Mannerheim, the commander-in-chief of Finland's defence forces during World War II (1939–1945), Marshal of Finland, and the sixth president of Finland (1944–1946). Unused.  Issued in Sweden by the organisation “Help Finland”

Sweden/Finland: lot 2 cards with drawings “För Finland” done by schoolgirls from Gotenburg.  The cards were sold for “the help for Finland”. Unused, issued by Isaac Been, Göteborg. 

NK 302,15ø Nordraak on special card celebrating the King Haakon VIIhomecoming the 7th June 1945 cancelled Oslo 7.6.45 sent to Stockholm.  

On front a post-war Norwegian control mark “32 in circle”

Xmas-double-card: on front a drawing “Den Norske Tysklandsbrigade 492” on page 2 a picture of the camp-gate, page 3 a personal greetings dated Flensburg 14.12.49 and on page 4 a drawing of a Santa Claus “riding”a bullet.  The drawings signed by “Sör-49”

Lot 4 postcards depicting the War Museum in Narvik.  All unused but one card with the “Narvik-stamp” and cancelled “Narvik 28.5.1990 Gjenerobringen 50 år”. Issud by Aune, To-Foto x 2 and Narvik Bokhandel
