Train-the-Trainer Workshops
Information about past and present Virginia Pesticide Safety Educator Workshops.
This is the 25th annual pesticide safety education train-the-trainer workshop sponsored by VTPP and VDACS for Extension faculty in Virginia. The workshop is designed to update agents and specialists on pesticide applicator training procedures and practices for 2017-18. This workshop is funded by the VDACS Office of Pesticide Services. The workshop focuses on enhancing the pesticide safety education programs conducted by Extension and approved by VDACS throughout the next year. The program is approved to recertify agents in Demonstration and Research (Category 10) pest control. This event also provides a venue at which to recognize the outstanding teamwork enjoyed between VDACS and VCE. New this year is a meeting held in conjunction with the American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE). Our two groups will share pieces of their events. The synergy should benefit both events. Cancelled due to budget cuts - presented as webinar series and incorporated into the VCE Professional Development Conference in February 2018. PSEW2018 is planned as in the past at the Hotel Roanoke the first week of September 2018 - budget permitting.
