What is a 'makerspace'?
A makerspace is a place available in a community for people to come together and make things. Sometimes it involves specific technology and tools, and other times it may not. Makerspaces allow people to work together and collaborate on problem-solving, idea-generating, and design thinking. Makerspaces develop cultures of sharing, cooperation and innovation.
The Blackhawk Library has a developing makerspace called The Studio.
