Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

Current:

• Maintain participation in library programs that support literacy and build a connection between the library and the classroom

• Maintain diverse and equitable collections of materials in various formats in each building library

• Maintain and implement programming, curriculum maps, pacing guides and lessons aligned to state standards.

• Empower students as creators using digital tools to independently create products of their learning.

• Work with teaching staff to promote library materials as well as collaborative lessons to benefit students learning. 

• Support and reinforce classrooms by integrating Information Technology Literacy Standards with classroom teacher standards 

• Support all students enrolled in the Viroqua Area School District including Better Futures, Laurel, and Viroqua Area Montessori Schools

• Inter Library Loan (ILL) is utilized to enhance materials for classroom instruction and independent reading.

Future:

• leverage and connect district, regional, or national partners to build understanding, capacity, or opportunities to support identified learning outcomes. (i.e. ISTE, AASL, and Future Ready Librarians)

• Expand resources connected to curriculum including targeted reading levels, and subjects including STEAM and media production
