Budget and Resources

Current:

• Open communication between library teams to determine best use of both district and common school funds

• The PK-12 VASD libraries are supported by the stable Common School Fund

• District Support of library initiatives through funding including professional development and supplies to maintain programing

• improved organization and focus on growth of collections based on circulation data, trends, staff and student requests. 

• maintain equitable, current, relative, and diverse library collections that ensure staff and student access to books in a variety of formats to meet all needs (i.e.: audio books, eBooks, braille, native language etc.).

Future:

• Provide updated library furnishings with refreshed comfortable moveable furniture  for the Middle School / High School

• Provide updated library furnishings and decorations  for the Elementary School

• Expand resources connected to curriculum including targeted reading levels, and subjects including STEAM and media production
