Current:
Open communication between libraries to determine best use of both district and common school funds.
The PK-12 VASD libraries are supported by the stable Common School Fund.
District support of library initiatives through funding, including professional development, and supplies and staff to maintain programing.
Improved organization and focus on growth of collections, based on curriculum, circulation data, trends, as well as staff and student requests.
Maintain equitable, current, relative, and diverse library collections that ensure staff and student access to books in a variety of formats (i.e.: audio books, eBooks, braille, native language etc.).
Future:
Provide updated library furnishings that are appropriate and inviting at each library, to encourage library usage.
Expand resources connected to curriculum, targeting reading levels, inclusive subjects, and STEAM resources for instructional check out.
