Phil Parker
Phil's home church is Morrison City Christian Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. Phil began his studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga majoring in Computer Science. Feeling a call to mission work and ministry, he transferred and attended Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee. His first mission's trip was to San Pedro Sula, Honduras with other students from Johnson. After that, he met Michelle and they were married on August 3, 1996. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a specialty in Teaching English as a Second Language. Then he graduated from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee with a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. For a short time he taught international children in Morristown, Tennessee in the public schools. Then his family traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand where they have served the Lord for the past fifteen years. The family moved to Christiansburg, Virginia in 2017 and serve in international campus ministry and refugee minstry at Virginia Tech University. Phil enjoys motorcycles, cycling, hiking, fishing, and all things technology.
Michelle Parker
Michelle's home church is Community Christian Church in Newbern, Virginia. She attended and graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a specialty in both Missions and Teaching English as a Second Language. In 1994, she traveled and taught English on a 10 month internship in Kashiwazaki, Japan with Jerry and Laura Mort. After her return to America, Michelle met Phil and they were married on August 3, 1996. Then, she attended and graduated from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee with a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has been serving in church work in Chiang Mai, Thailand for the past 15 years mostly in church planting and children's ministry. Presently, she enjoys serving with Victory44 International in refugee ministry and international student ministry at Virginia Tech. Michelle enjoys sunsets, photography, and watching Korean dramas on Netflix.
Nathanael Parker
Nathanael was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 30, 2001. He graduated from Christiansburg High School in Christiansburg, Virginia in June 2020. He graduated from New River Community College in the Spring 2021 with an Associates Degree. Nate married Sarah Pagans from Salem, Virginia in July 2022. He graduated from Johnson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Theology and Family Studies. Nate is the Associate Pastor at Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia.
Hannah Parker
Hannah was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand on September 25, 2005. Hannah graduated from Christiansburg High School in May 2023 and attends Palm Beach Atlantic University, presently in her Junior year. She works for Runabout Sports in Blacksburg during the summers, and enjoys helping people find the right shoe for their needs. She's running cross country and track for PBA University.
