  •             Mr. Murdock grew up in Sandy, Utah, then moved to St. George his junior year and graduated from Pine View High in 2001.

  • He served a church service mission in France from 2001-2003 where he learned to love the French language, history, people, and culture.

  • He obtained his bachelor’s degree in French, with a minor in English Education from SUU in 2007. He also met his wife Ember in Cedar City and was married in 2005.
  • He continued his studies at Brigham Young University in Provo and finished his master’s degree in French Studies in 2009. 

  • He then returned to SUU where he added a secondary teaching license to his résumé. He did his student teaching at Pine View High and was then hired to teach at Sunrise Ridge Intermediate School in 2010 where he taught Language Arts 7, P.E., Art, and French.

  • Mr. Murdock has been with UOS since 2013 and has loved helping students all across the state develop a love for French, English, P.E. and Health. 

  • In his free-time, Mr. Murdock enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, watching action / adventure or sci-fi movies, working out, riding his bike, taking naps :) and playing the guitar. When he was much younger, he placed in several aggressive rollerblading competitions, played men’s collegiate club volleyball for SUU and semi-professional football for the St. George Blitz and Dixie Rebels. He also won a silver medal in the Utah Summer Games for powerlifting.
