About  April Larsen

Ms. Larsen grew up in St. George, UT.  She got her teaching degree from Southern Utah University in 2005, with a major in Physical Education, and her Master's Degree from SUU in 2018. She earned her Doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction in 2023.

Ms. Larsen has 2 children, one boy and one girl, whom she loves to spend time with. Growing up with all brothers, Ms. Larsen was always very involved with athletics. She played every sport in high school (except softball.) She now stays active by running, hiking and swimming with her children. She also enjoys reading, doing family history, and being involved with church activities and service. 

With certification in deep tissue massage therapy, Ms. Larsen is very passionate about all things health and wellness. She loves to teach others how to stay healthy and prevent sports-related injuries. After working for 12 years as a massage therapist for local runners and world class athletes, Ms. Larsen returned to teaching, her true passion. She taught for 6 years in the classroom and now loves to work with students in the online setting, helping them understand the importance of maintaining lifelong health and exercise habits and guiding them to reach their fitness goals.
