Welcome to Health II!

I am happy to have you with me this semester! The information you will learn here will be of great benefit all throughout your life. I am excited to get to know and work with each one of you!

A note to parents:

   This course has human sexuality units that may be included. In accordance with state and district policy, please view the Human Sexuality Consent form (you may click HERE to read this form in Spanish) and fill out MY GOOGLE FORM to select the content you would like to have included or excluded from your student's course by indicating the option you would like for your student. I MUST receive have this information for each student within the first 2 weeks of class. (*Note, I do not need you to print and sign the Human Sexuality Consent form. Simply read through it and fill out my Google form please.)

   Option 1 on the form means that you consent to your student learning about all the topics on the Human Sexuality Consent form. Option 2 means that you would like to exclude certain topics, and option 4 means that you do not want your student to participate in any of the topics. 

   If there are any problems with these two documents, please email me at alarsenalarsen@utahonline.org and tell me your student's full name, as well as yours, and which option you would like.

Grade Weights:

• Edgenuity Assignments and Quizzes: 10%

• Teacher-Graded Assignments: 60%

• 2 Video Assignments: 30% (These assignments are simple, but crucial academic integrity requirements, so please plan to complete them as instructed as you are working through the course.)

Once I have received the signed consent form from your parent/guardian, go ahead and start your course! See link below if you have questions about accessing your course, and please remember that you have 3 total attempts on all quizzes and tests, and your highest score is the one that is kept. I do not authorize more than 3 attempts on tests and quizzes, so do your best on these.

B+ 87-89                C-   70-72

B   83-86                D+   67-69

B-  80-82                D    63-66
