Abstract:
In the final reflection , I explore my journey in the Ed.D. program from the reason why I entered the program, to my expectations at the beginning, to my growth personally and professional as I completed the coursework and Community Forum requirements . The reflection explains my personal and professional growth using a three part examination of the past two years. The first part explains my growth through the advancement of coursework. The second part explains the effect of extended learning opportunities outside the classroom and the third component of this reflection explains the connection and impact my studies had on my work as the Manager of Education Outreach at the Holocaust Memorial Center. The reflection explains how the combination of these three components has established a solid foundational knowledge of theory, instructional practices and research methods which is necessary to conduct my research on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and trauma.
