Research Interests: My research interests are interdisciplinary and utilize methods from the fields of applied mathematics, biostatistics, and epidemiology.
Current Projects: Developing biologically based mathematical models and statistical methods to evaluate the impact of risk factors on various cancers, and the efficacy of screening to reduce cancer incidence and/or mortality.
My current projects are as following:
1. Impact of tobacco control policies and screening on lung cancer risk
2. Mechanistic modeling of carcinogenesis and evaluation of screening effect on colorectal cancer
3. Risk prediction model for colorectal cancer using environmental risk factors and common genetic variants
4. COPD Risk Prediction model accounting for time-varying smoking exposures
