Welcome to the College of Engineering (COE) Facilities Development Site 

The place to document COE's continuing efforts to improve facilities and resources for students, faculty, administrators and staff.  


CDRLC Under Construction! A groundbreaking for the Computing Design Research and Learning Center (CDRLC) was celebrated July 15, 2021. Completion is expected in Spring 2024. The $120M+, 127,000 Square Feet CDRLC will house Research Labs, Faculty, Student and Staff offices for the Computer Science Department, campus classrooms plus public, communal and collaboration space. The initial Feasibility Study for the CDRLC was completed in 2015.


EIB Complete! The Ribbon-Cutting attended by esteemed Campus, City and State leaders was held July 22, 2019. The 57,500 SF Engineering Innovation Building (EIB) houses the ChemE Department, a CME High-Bay Structural Laboratory and MIE Labs for inter-disciplinary research. The $43M project broke ground Jan 8, 2018 and opened on-budget and on-time for the Fall 2019 Semester.
