Catering Services offers a wide variety of menu items including buffets, served meals, and break services for all of your meeting and event needs. Kennedy Union, KU Central Mall, KU Plaza and Patio, River Campus, UD Arena Spectrum Flight Deck and Boesch Lounge and Virginia W. Kettering Hall are considered Catering exclusive areas in which all food and beverage purchases must be made through UD Catering Services. Customers must provide adequate space and tables for Catering to set up delivered items and access to buildings and rooms must be made available at least 30 minutes prior to the event service time.
It is advised to place your order at least two weeks prior to the reservation date with final attendance numbers updated at least five business days prior. Late orders or cancellations may incur an additional fee. All vehicles parked on University property must display a valid parking permit weekdays from 6:00am – 7:30pm, and until 4:30pm on Friday. Parking permits are not needed in single letter lots outside of these hours and on the weekend.
Each group , planning a meeting or event, must make prior arrangements for multiple visitor parking permits for campus events in advance. For individual guests that do not have prior arrangements made, please direct them to the visitor’s center at either University Circle or C lot.
Facilities Management oversees temporary signage including informational, directional, and special events. Signs that are staked into the ground are not permitted as they damage the landscaping and underground irrigation as well as blow over and become unsightly. UD maintains a secured wireless network. For University guests who require internet guest accounts, the IT Service Center can provide temporary usernames and passwords for campus events. If pipe and draping is requested for an event, this must be rented by an external company. Please let the Center for Student Involvement know if you would like to make arrangements to rent pipe and drape for your event.
If an outdoor event is requesting a tent, approval must be obtained from Facilities Management and proper permits must be completed. Please notify the Center for Student Involvement if you would like to rent a tent for an outdoor event. Tents are not permitted in the student neighborhoods.
