Social Convenors

Julie Shea (she/her):

Julie is in the fifth year of her Arts degree with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Psychology. She has focused her classes on archaeology, taking a special interest in lithics! Julie wants to work on the relationship between anthropologists, archaeologists, and Indigenous communities and hopes to be part of the solution toward more open communication and trust.

Julie spent last two summers working in CRM in Northeastern BC and was able to get a feel for the field (so feel free to come and chat about it!). She is working on her Field Directorship in the Subarctic Boreal Forest cultural region of BC, and loves it! Fostering community within the department is a big goal for her this year, so stop by for a chat whenever!

Sage Brown (she/her):

My name is Sage Brown. I am a 3rd year BA Anthropology student with a focus in Archaeology and a minor in the Biological Sciences. At the beginning of the upcoming fall term, I will be entering my 4th and final year of studies at the university. Given how quickly my undergraduate degree is coming to a close, I want to make the most of my remaining time and am looking to get more involved with the department and meet other undergraduate students.
