There are many important resources at the University of Alberta and elsewhere that students can access to enhance their experience.

Introductory Linguistics

• Linguistics guide for the University of Alberta library

• Essentials of Linguistics - a free online textbook covering an introductory linguistics course (not necessarily the course you are taking, but a useful resource nevertheless, worth much more than it costs!)

Phonetics

• • Reading sounds (visual inspection of speech in Praat)

• Anatomy TV (for studying vocal anatomy)

Non-linguistic

• • Student Accessibility Services (to make education more accessible, such as for students who need exam accommodations)
