Google Storage Policy
Under Google’s latest policy where a limited space is shared among all users of the same domain, we will no longer be able to provide unlimited storage (including Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos) for users. Instead, we will set storage limits for different types of users, which is to be effective from 29th July, 2022:
Staff - 200 GB
Students - 50 GB
Alumni - 30 GB
If users exceed the storage limit, the use of Google Services will be affected:
Gmail: Users will still be able to send and receive email.
Drive: You won’t be able to sync or upload new files. You will not be able to create new files in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard. Until you reduce the amount of storage you use, neither you nor anyone else will be able to edit or copy your affected files. Syncs stop between your computer's Google Drive folder and My Drive.
To avoid exceeding the storage limit, you may back up your files or remove large files.
