Food technologies focus on the use of resources produced and harvested to sustain human life. In this unit of work, students develop knowledge and understanding about food selection and preparation, food safety and how to make informed choices when experimenting with and preparing nutritious food. Students will create and prepare a range of meals and evaluate their processes.
Design and create a healthy meal for a teenage girl to take to school. This should be based on the recommended Australian Healthy Eating Guidelines and be able to be prepared in the OLSH Kitchen.
