The aim of Technology Mandatory is to provides you with the opportunity to use a variety of thinking strategies, embrace new concepts and learn through trialing, testing and refining ideas. The practical nature of the course allows you to develop new skills working with varied materials and production technologies with the aim of developing creative solutions to identified problems and situations.
During Years 7 and 8 you will undertake learning in 4 context areas:-
Agriculture and Food Technology
Digital Technologies
Engineered Systems
Materials Technology
For each context area you will be involved in the design, production and evaluation of quality solutions following a Design and Production Process. This process includes:-
Identifying and Designing
Researching and Planning
Producing and Implementing
Testing and Evaluating
