About Mrs. Kountz 

My name is Mollie Kountz.  I am in my 26th year of teaching science.  This is my 12th year at Jackson Middle School.  Prior to joining the Jackson staff, I taught at Pleasant View Middle School for 14 years.  I have always taught science, but I have also taught 7th grade social studies and language arts.  

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Capital University in 2001.  I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership in 2004 from the University of Dayton.  

I grew up on a farm near Pleasantville, Ohio.  Country living led to my love of animals and being outdoors.  While growing up I participated in 4-H (completing projects in cooking, sewing and dairy goats) and band (percussion and auxiliary corp).  

My husband Jeremy and I live in Hilliard and have 2 sons.  Pierce is a Freshman at the Wright State University majoring in business.  Ewan is in 8th grade and enjoys running and playing the cello.
