My name is Mollie Kountz. I am in my 25th year of teaching science. This is my 11th year at Jackson Middle School. Prior to joining the Jackson staff, I taught at Pleasant View Middle School for 14 years. I have always taught science, but I have also taught 7th grade social studies and language arts.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Capital University in 2001. I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership in 2004 from the University of Dayton.
I grew up on a farm near Pleasantville, Ohio. Country living led to my love of animals and being outdoors. While growing up I participated in 4-H (completing projects in cooking, sewing and dairy goats) and band (percussion and auxiliary corp).
My husband Jeremy and I live in Hilliard and have 2 sons. Pierce is in the 12th grade and loves soccer and also plays violin. Ewan is in 7th grade and enjoys running, swimming and playing the cello.
