Behavioral System

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)

Kiva has created a plan for a school-wide system for success. We have formed a team of staff members that have been involved in this pro-active approach, to create behavioral expectations and practices for our school. It is our goal to maximize student engagement and learning by supporting the sustained use of best practices school-wide.

Our PBIS Team (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) has developed a behavioral matrix outlining and stating the expectations for all areas of our school. We are working very hard to create a model that will emphasize positive behaviors. We have developed our consequences for poor choices, as well as rewards for good choices.
