Below is a list of local scholarships that Sudan High School receives every year.

When scholarship application come to my office you will be notified 3 ways: 

I will email every Senior, they will be Announced during Hornet Period, and I will give a copy of all applications to a Senior Teacher to hand out.  If you need an additional copy, please stop by my office.

Remember: You will need a transcript to send with every scholarship application!!

Coca-Cola Scholarship Due by October 31 of your Senior Year.

Top Three students in class of 2010

The Golden Spread Electric Cooperative Due March 15th.

Application in Mrs. Harrell's Office.

Five Area Telephone Cooperative-$300 due April 27th.

Must be a Five area/West Plains Customer, application in Mrs. Harrell's office.

 

Bailey County Electric-$1000 due April 9th

Must live and receive electric service from the Bailey Co. Coop, application in Mrs. Harrell's office.

Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation Scholarship-$500, $300, $100 due April 13th

B average or higher -Requires an Essay, application in Mrs. Harrell's office.

 

Opportunity Plan -Includes the Michael DeShannon, Willie McAlpin, Maxine Nichols, and Dr. Karen Rich scholarships-various amounts.

Texas Tech University Entering Freshman deadline is February 1st!

West Texas A&M University awards approximately $4 million each year in scholarships to new and continuing students, with the average award totaling $1,200 per year. Students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and special talent are considered for University scholarships. Financial need may be a consideration. Angelo State University

The Carr Scholarship Program, managed by Angelo State University, is one of the largest scholarship endowments at a regional university in the United States. During the 2010-11 academic year, ASU students received $5,452,208 in Carr Scholarships.

The scholarship application for fall 2012 and spring 2013 is now available.  Students should apply early to ensure full consideration for an award.
