As previously communicated, the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) implemented new coursework content requirements for BCaBA certification that will become effective January 1, 2027. To align with these updated requirements, Purdue Global launched a revised Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Applied Behavior Analysis degree plan on July 1, 2026.
Your current enrollment in the Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program coursework meets the education requirements established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) to be eligible to apply for the BCaBA exam under Pathway 2. You are eligible to pursue the optional BCaBA certification through Pathway 2 as long as you submit and obtain an approved application to sit for the BCaBA examination on or before 11:59 pm ET December 31, 2026, provided all other eligibility requirements are met.
If you sit for the BCaBA exam in 2027 or later, you will need to change your degree plan to include the coursework that aligns with the BACB 2027 education requirements. Please contact your advisor to initiate the change of program process.
