Defensive Line: Ryan Arnold

Ryan Arnold has been coaching football at Pleasant Valley since 2009. Since that time Arnold has led the strength and conditioning program for Pleasant Valley Football. His time, effort and expertise has been crucial to the development of each member of our football team and the improvement we have experienced on the field. Arnold has an extensive education in sports performance and holds numerous strength and conditioning certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Sports Performance Coach (USAW) and USA Level 1 Track and Field Coach (USATF). He also completed his Masters of Education Degree from Kaplan University. Since the 2010 season Arnold has also been the defensive line coach, working with defensive ends and tackles. Prior to that he served one season as an assistant coach on the Pleasant Valley sophomore coaching staff. Currently, Arnold is also the strength and conditioning coordinator for all Pleasant Valley athletics. In 2004 Arnold completed his outstanding college playing career at the University of Northern Iowa by earning All-American honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette, 1st team all-Gateway Conference, Team Defensive MVP and Team Captain. Arnold was a 3 year starter at Defensive End for the Panthers and was a part of Two Gateway Conference Championship Teams, later reaching the semi-finals and quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.

Prior to landing at U.N.I, Arnold was a multi-sport standout at North Scott High School (1997-2000), where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. For his exploits he was inducted into North Scott's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.

Arnold is married to his wife, Krysta and they have a son, Brody.
