EASTERN SUBURBS INTERMEDIATE SCHOOLS’
GYMNASTIC COMPETITION
DATE: Tuesday, 6th August 2019
VENUE: Eastern Suburbs Gymnastic Club, 89 Apirana Avenue, Glen Innes.
CLOSING DATE: Thursday, 4 July 2019 (Last week of term 2)
COMPETITION LEVELS: YEAR 7 and YEAR 8 - “Twisters” (girls and boys).
TEAMS: Individual and team event. A team consists of min 3 and max 4 gymnasts in each level and are created by the competition organizer after the competition using the top three marks on each apparatus. The top 3-4 individuals will make team 1, the next top 3-4 gymnasts will make team 2 and so on.
QUALIFICATION: From this cluster competition, the three top boys and girls teams in each year qualify, plus the top eight individuals, if they are not already in the top three teams, to compete at the Auckland Primary Schools Champion of Champions to be held in September 2019. Date and venue to be confirmed.
ENTRY FEE: $23 PER GYMNAST.
WITHDRAWALS: We don't refund withdrawals submitted less than 1 week before the date of the competition.
THE AWARDS: Participation certificates, placement certificates for the top 6 individuals and cups for the top 3 teams in each year. The cups won are transferable and schools keep them for 1 year. If the cup is not returned, the fee of $50 will incur.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This competition will go ahead if 3 or more schools participate. If we receive less than 3 schools entries this event will be canceled and participating schools will be forwarded to Remuera cluster zone.
