Jan Vrbicky will be helping out at St. John Neumann this school year. The 2025-2026 school year will mark her 24th year at St. John Neumann. This school year she will be doing library class on Mondays, and working with students as needed..
Mrs. Vrbicky has 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. She graduated from Chadron State College with her teaching degree.
If Mrs. Vrbicky couldn't be a teacher she would be a nurse. She has known since she was in 8th grade that she wanted to be a teacher. She was able to job shadow a kindergarten teacher and she loved it. When Mrs. Vrbicky isn't getting ready for her 1st and 2nd graders she loves to be able to enjoy her grandchildren and reading. Her favorite candy or sweet is an Almond Joy. She loves teaching Reading. Mrs. V. (which is what many of her students call her) loves the movie "The Help". Each year she shares her favorite books with her class, "Little House on the Prairie is such a classic for these students to be able to hear them being read out loud." When she is wanting to honor God in song her favorite hymn is "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". Her favorite bible story is the one of the "Christmas Story". If she could pick one food that she likes above all others is the Snickers pie. If Jan could go anywhere on a dream vacation she would go and visit the Czech republic.
As a child at school she loved to swing and play house. She went to Country school. She also loved studying reading and english while in school.
